Quel est le problème que tu souhaites résoudre ?

The fast fashion industry is the second most polluting industry. It is responsible for 10% of global GHG emissions each year and 20% of water contamination. As part of industrial responsibility, it is necessary to transition to more sustainable materials and processes. Currently, some industries are making fabrics out of wood, silk and other natural fibres. However, only some sectors of the population can afford the resulting high prices.

Comment souhaites-tu le résoudre ?

Using biomass waste could provide a new natural material that, due to its origin, could be cheaper, making it easier to transition to greener operations. Exploring components like lignin could result in the formation of new materials capable of competing with the synthetic ones. At the same time, a possible valorisation of the by-products could be used as part of the business strategy.
